Flats Construction is a commercial carpentry company located in Cleveland, Ohio, and is currently seeking a full-time Project Manager.  

We specialize in delivering exceptional results for a wide range of projects and are seeking a reliable and hardworking Project Manager to support our construction projects.

A Day in the Life:

• Reviews job contract documents to determine construction requirements and communicates this information to all relevant parties assigned to the job site.

• Understands material and equipment needs for projects and coordinates their delivery at each phase of the project.

• Tracks all carpentry activities and keeps project manager and subcontractors informed as changes occur in the field to ensure deadlines. Conducts regular quality inspections of trade work, determines that installments are per job specifications, and makes corrections when necessary.

• Ensures timely submission of the change order process including daily work tickets. 

• Tracks all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget.

• Produces and retains field reports and documentation. Distributes punch lists, closes out all job sites, files notes, and documentation.

• Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees while also developing new business.

• Able to manage multiple projects, prepare schedules and track project completion.

• Demonstrates confidence in spotting construction productivity issues and taking action to resolve them before the project is negatively impacted.

Do You Fit the Blueprint?

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Project Management and/or Estimating for a Carpentry company.

• Must be proficient in reading and understanding plans, specifications, drawings and project schedules.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• OSHA-10 (required within 30 days of employment), OSHA-30 and First-Aid/CPR certifications preferred.

• Demonstrates professionalism, able to meet deadlines and works well under pressure.

• Demonstrates a strong knowledge of carpentry, materials, resource allocation, construction tools, and execution according to plan specifications.

• Embraces technology and is able to use it in ways that support project success and client satisfaction.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

• Must pass a background test and drug screening test.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. 
• Attention to detail.
