OVERVIEW

The Bulkley, a historic landmark in the heart of Playhouse Square, is named in honor of Senator Robert Johns Bulkley.

This project transformed an existing shell space into 84 residential rental units, spanning floors four through seven of the building.

In addition, community-focused amenities were developed within the adjacent Idea Center, including a fitness area, yoga studio, meeting room, resident mail center, and supporting restroom facilities.

Flats Construction supported the project with both site logistics and finish carpentry scope. The team constructed temporary barricades, buck hoist openings, docks, and railings to facilitate the safe and efficient haul-in and haul-out of materials.

Flats Construction also completed the installation of finish carpentry elements, including doors, frames, and hardware, as well as solid surface sills, custom millwork and casework, and running trim throughout the space.
